Experimental Sci- Fi
The audio is intended to be futuristic therefore, each member of the public has a number allocated to them and a barcode to track their movements. This type of surveillance upsets one member of the public and so she shares her believes on this type of surveillance by saying that it’s like a prison to her. She refuses to follow the system and so cuts off her barcode. This means she can no longer be tracked. The ‘system’ responds to the public by saying that this type of behaviour is a risk to the public and that barcodes allocated to them are only there in order to keep them safe.
The audio aims to show that there are two different beliefs about surveillance. Most of the public are concerned about their privacy, yet, the government points out that it helps prevent crimes.
